October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In 2025, about 316,950 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in the US, making it the most common cancer among women. Globally, it's the most common cancer worldwide and a leading cause of cancer death among women. Lifetime risk for a US woman is about 1 in 8, or 13.1%. While rare, 2,800 men will also be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in the U.S. this year.  

But there is hope! Advancements in early detection methods and support continue to increase the chances of survival.
